In Real Life: Amaury Treguer | Coco Republic

Treguer loves capturing the character and spirit of Bondi Beach in his work. The subject of his photographs range from sunrises, to the ocean, sand and surfers. Early mornings are his favourite, “it’s very peaceful”, he says, allowing him to “concentrate on the photography”.

“I just love that routine of waking up early, as well as that, you know, golden light that you might get around sunrise”.

Amaury Treguer is a Parisian photographer, who has been based in Bondi Beach since 2010.

Treguer and Coco Republic share a liking and great appreciation for the transformative nature of the outdoors. For Treguer every day starts with sunrise at Bondi, exercising, drinking coffee, taking photos of the beach for his page Morning Bondi and finishing with a swim in the ocean.

“I just love that routine of waking up early, as well as that, you know, golden light that you might get around sunrise. For me it’s like, you know, a type of meditation in a way.”

Coco Republic share the same like-mindedness for the powerful essence of the outdoors as Treguer, a calming serene and tranquil environment where many seek and find their Golden State of Mind.
